Why sign in with Twitter?
Simply put, nearly everyone using ByZe.us will already have a Twitter account, so why reinvent the wheel? Twitter offers authentication as a service available to developers and we've taken advantage of this service. Additionally, it is one less username and password to remember and makes the ByZe.us service immediately available to anyone with a Twitter account.
In the off chance that you want to make use of ByZe.us and do not have a twitter account, you can easily sign up for a Twitter account.
Is it safe?
Absolutely! At no point do we have your username and password. In fact, we don't ask Twitter for write access to your account and even though we have read access, we don't read any information from your account. We purely use Twitter for account authorization and at no point will a list of your followers or those you follow be gathered or any statuses collected or set. We do, however, use the BackType service to gather information about your links that is publicly available; this is the service that provides information on conversations and tweets on a ByZe.us link information page.
Why am I not asked by Twitter to reauthorize?
If you have already given ByZeus permission to interact with Twitter and you are already signed into twitter, you will be instantly logged in after clicking the Sign in with Twitter button below. To force reauthorization, you must unauthorize ByZeus on your twitter profile, or more logically, log out of twitter.
