Security

We take everyone's well being very seriously. There are two main ways in which we try to keep things nice and clean around here.

Link Security

All links that we shorten are checked to ensure they aren't blacklisted. We check incoming links against the spamhaus.org and ahbl.org blacklist databases.

Additionally, we do not allow links that have already been shortened to be shortened again. While this may seem an awkward way of securing things, it actually is a critical step most other URL shortening services do not take. What this means is that someone can't shorten a URL at another service that doesn't do any blacklist checking and then shorten that already-shortened URL here.

Account Security

While we allow you to sign into your account here by using outside sites, at no point do we have your password. These third-party services give us a "key" to verify your account, but at not point do we have the ability to log into these services.
